Douglas J. Cronk
Doug Cronk is founder and president of Omega Settlement Services, a leading title insurance and settlement services provider in New York and New Jersey. He has closed thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase closings on behalf of attorneys. Doug has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to founding Omega in 2003, Doug was a vice president and officer of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., the oldest and largest partnership bank in the United States. During his tenure at Brown Brothers, he held increasingly senior roles in a variety of areas, including client relationship management and operations responsibilities across nine domestic and seven overseas locations. Before that, Doug was a licensed securities broker with M.S. Farrell & Co., a private Wall Street investment banking firm.
Doug is a graduate of Leadership New Jersey, a highly competitive fellowship program that educates, empowers and engages talented leaders to create systemic change around New Jersey’s most challenging issues. He is also President of the Board of Trustees of West Bergen Mental Healthcare, which provides comprehensive mental health services in over a dozen specialties. He is active in a number of local community groups, including the Ridgewood AM Rotary Club and the Ridgewood Lacrosse Association.
Doug has served as a member of the Village of Ridgewood Zoning Board of Adjustment, and as a mentor with Volunteers in Protective Services (VIPS), a program of the Volunteer Center of Bergen County in which trained adults provide guidance to children who have suffered abuse or neglect.
Doug and his wife, Melinda, a local real estate agent, reside in Ridgewood, N.J. with their two children.
Patty Reyes
Patty Reyes is a title producer and examiner with Omega Settlement Services. She oversees transactions from order entry to closing and policy issue. She also administers and witnesses many of our refinance closings. Her dedication and professionalism is continually praised by our clients.
Patty has nearly 20 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry, which provides her with a keen understanding of loan procedures and lender policies. She was previously with New Century Mortgage Corporation, Alliance Funding, and Parmann Mortgage Company where she has been a loan processor, senior underwriter and unit manager. She is a New Jersey Notary Public.
Patty is a business management graduate of Kean University. She resides in Waldwick, N.J. with her husband and children.
Melissa M. Maloney
With more than 20 years experience as a paralegal, Melissa Maloney is an invaluable asset to the Omega team. She assists our clients with clearing title issues, recording documents, and handling refinance closings. She is also a New Jersey Notary Public.
Prior to joining the Omega team, Melissa worked at several leading law firms. She was also with Fidelity Investments and Merrill Lynch, where she handled regulatory investigations and managed the litigation caseload. That experience demonstrates her keen ability to collect, analyze, and interpret legal documents as they relate to title matters.
Melissa graduated from the State University of New York at Albany. She has been very active in local community groups, including the YWCA of Bergen County, the Girl Scouts, and Our Lady Of Mount Carmel MOMs group. She also volunteers with many programs and events at her children’s school.
Melissa and her husband, Bryan, live in Ridgewood, N.J. with their two daughters.
Irene Cronk
As Omega’s closing coordinator, Irene Cronk is responsible for scheduling closings, preparing HUD 1 settlement statements and other closing documents, coordinating wire transfers, disbursing escrow funds, and conducting the post-closing audit of document packages. She works directly with loan processors and customers to do any trouble-shooting related to closings, and is widely respected for her knowledge, organization, and attention to detail.
Irene is very knowledgeable about the mortgage processing industry, having spent nearly 25 years with Bank of New York. She can be relied on to answer any questions that you or your clients may have about the title preparation process. Irene is also a New Jersey Notary Public and handles the general office administration for Omega.
Irene resides in Rockland County, New York. She has three grown children and is a proud grandmother to Brianna, Alexis and Eric.
